Group therapy is when a number of people meet with a therapist, altogether, on an ongoing basis. Some people prefer group therapy because it allows for a unique social experience unlike one-on-one therapy. Group therapy typically consists of 4-10 members. Some people prefer to only attend group therapy, while others attend both group and individual sessions.
