Katie has been practicing counselling and therapy since 2012. She began her career in social services, where she did community outreach, crisis work and individual counselling and psychotherapy for people struggling with mental health and addictions issues. 


She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and has also completed a Certificate in Addictions as a post-grad from Laurier University. She attended Yorkville University for her Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology. She has been trained to deliver many different therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Skills, Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Therapy.


She has a keen interest in working with First Nations clients and has completed many trainings specific to holistic, culturally-informed, treatment. This includes addictions treatment. Brainspotting is one modality of treatment for trauma that she utilizes, with amazing results!


Katie is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) #006044 and a member of the Ontario Association Of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).

Rebecca is a master’s level Social Worker, as well as a Certified Trauma Practitioner, who has been practicing since 2007. In that time, she has worked with men, women, youth and children through crisis management, as well as individual and group therapy sessions. Rebecca is a master’s level Social Worker, as well as a Certified Trauma Practitioner, who has been practicing since 2007. In that time, she has worked with men, women, youth and children through crisis management, as well as individual and group therapy sessions. She has trained and utilized various methodologies such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioural therapy, brief and narrative therapy, exposure therapy, structured sensory intervention for children, adolescents and parents (SITCAP) model, art-based interventions and strengths-based theories.

Rebecca's specific experience lies within family violence work, trauma and children’s mental health.


She brings sound clinical skill, creativity, and commitment to each of her therapeutic relationships.  She believes that building a firm foundation based on rapport and trust is integral to individuals’ healing journeys and consequently, strives to develop respectful, committed, authentic relationships with each of the people she supports.


Rebecca acquired her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work at McMaster University. In 2016 she became certified in trauma therapy via the National institute for Trauma and Loss in Children. She has also completed level 1 in the Fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through Laurier University. Rebecca is a registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Korrenne (Kory) Jensen - Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

 

It takes a lot of courage to face our most distressing thoughts, emotions and behaviours. As a registered Social Worker, MSW, RSW, Holly is grateful to accompany individuals, children, youth and couples on a journey towards growth and rejuvenation.  Some of her areas of focus are anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, trauma, PTSD a

Approaches that she uses are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR is a highly effective therapy for treating a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, phobias, body image issues, anger, addiction, and grief.  


All of us will face emotional issues, difficulties in relationships, loss or other stressors at some point in their lives.

Learning skills to deal with these challenges effectively can make a huge difference with how much enjoyment and satisfaction we can get out of life. It is important for Holly to provide an opportunity for people to be able to explore their concerns safely and without judgement. She firmly believe that everyone has the capacity to improve their emotional health and sense of well-being.

 Korrenne is in the process of becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She received her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She also holds Honors in a Bachelor of Arts with emphasis on psychology, social work and sociology.

 Korrenne is in the process of becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She received her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She also holds Honors in a Bachelor of Arts with emphasis on psychology, social work and sociology.  


Korrenne has had a variety of life experiences that has taken her around the world; She has had opportunities to work with individuals from many different cultures, orientations and demographics. Korrenne has a passion for life transitions and holding space for individuals navigating the different changes of life such as relationships, careers, parenting, etc. Within that work she does she uses a variety of techniques including CBT, DCT and Narrative Therapy, which are used with an emphasis on a person-centered approach. 


Because Korrenne is gathering hours for her full licence, she is excited to provide services on a sliding scale to adults, children and teens.  Contact us for more information.

 Avril Maxey is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She has a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2010 from Brock University and has worked in social services for the past 9 years as a counsellor, advocate, and educator in addictions recovery centres, elementary and high schools, group homes, women’s shelters and in child protective services.

Through her experiences, she has gained valuable clinical skills working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her work experience has included counselling and advocacy in sex work, addictions, anti-human-trafficking, mental health and intimate partner violence. She has cherished experience with many LGBTQ2 clients and understands the importance of gender identity and sexual orientation.


She thrives working from a strengths-based approach to empower her clients! She understands that each person needs a unique approach and finesse in order to be successful. Avril celebrates individuality and believes in each and every one of her clients!
